Started proof of concept with a system built using MySQL / Apache / CakePHP. Mongo was rejected because of the immature DBO to access the data (it basically worked but for complex actions it is actually not usable right now). I experienced a lot with postgresql but several queries do not behave well. CakePHP focuses on MySQL so I had to admit that using MySQL is the only real alternative. Hopefully the support for other DBs will improve. By the time being, to avoid tricky issues I will stick to the best tested platform...
